Discover the Tranquility of Lake Chapelle

Lake Chapelle – Big Carp Fishing in France

A 6 acre lake in the heart of Haut Vienne region in Southwest-Central France

Why Lake Chapelle Stands Out

Nestled in the heart of rural France, Lake Chapelle offers a unique fishing experience characterised by its peaceful and exclusive environment.

With only five pegs available, anglers are ensured ample space and quietude, allowing for a truly immersive and uninterrupted fishing adventure. This secluded haven is perfect for those who appreciate the craft of fishing without the distractions of overcrowded waters.

Stock Information -  Specimen Potential

The lake holds a strong head of established carp with genuine specimen potential. Original stock: Carp ranging from 16lb to 36lb, Recently introduced: 15 carp weighing between 36lb and 48lb.

Due to water authority permissions, the lake was not netted this season. This means the true upper weights currently present cannot be fully confirmed — there may already be fish pushing well beyond known figures.

The lake has never been operated on a commercial basis and has previously only been used privately for family holidays. With very low historic angling pressure, there is realistic potential for uncaught or under-reported fish to surface. A lightly pressured water with serious weight potential.

Fishing Difficulty

At present, the lake would be considered accessible and rewarding. However, as angling pressure increases and fish grow wiser, difficulty is expected to rise — making early seasons particularly exciting for those seeking standout captures.

Catch reports and photographs are welcomed and encouraged.

Stock Management & Fish Welfare

The lake is carefully managed with long-term growth and
fish welfare in mind.

  • When next netted, any carp not progressing as expected will be replaced

  • Many fish are microchipped and monitored to track growth, condition, and overall health

  • Stock levels are controlled to maintain quality over quantity

This is not a numbers game.

Lake Chapelle is being developed carefully, with a clear focus on building a consistent specimen water for the seasons ahead
